Dating back to the 19th Century, the former Grade II listed stables have always been a prominent feature of the historic grounds. Converted to bedrooms in 1997 to replicate idyllic County Durham cottages, the building has undergone a magnificent refurbishment to become ‘The Carriage House’.
Blackwell Grange is proud to announce The Carriage House is now officially open boasting a range of premier rooms and suites; transformed by local specialist interior design company Forge Interiors.
The Carriage House sits within the grounds of Blackwell Grange Hotel and is home to 11 stylish premium rooms and suites. Designed in an appropriate style with an homage to heritage of Blackwell Grange; the focal points of each room in The Carriage House include oversized headboards and wall panelling. Some of the feature suites feature fireplaces, roll top baths and the original stables timber beams. The style is luxurious with a focus on premium finishes and comfort throughout; bathrooms boast premium sanitary ware & tiling, underfloor heating and Anyah Eco Spa Treatment toiletries.
Deputy General Manager Mathew Ashton said: "The heritage of The Carriage House has been honoured and updated for the modern day, with timeless touches in some of the most luxurious bedrooms at Blackwell Grange. We are excited to welcome guests to experience this landmark's new chapter in the life of the hotel".
